Ms. De Villiers primarily practices in the area of civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury, including wrongful death, product liability, car, truck, motorcycle, and pedestrian accidents, nursing home negligence, dog bites, insurance bad faith, slip/trip and falls, and construction accidents.
Ms. De Villiers has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since November of 2005. She also became licensed in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio in 2006. Since that time, Alison has had the privilege of representing hundreds of clients and taking cases to trial.
Ms. De Villiers received her B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in English from the University of Dayton in 2002, and her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2005, where she served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was involved in the Ohio Innocence Project.
Ms. De Villiers is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association and formerly served as the Chair of the Young Lawyers Section, on the Board of Trustees, and on the Membership Services and Development Committee. She is on the Board of Trustees for the Southwest Ohio Trial Lawyers Association. She is also a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ). Alison also formerly served on the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ), where she was on the Legislative Committee and Patient Advocacy Task Force, on the Board of Trustees for the Cincinnati Bar Foundation, as the co-chair of the social committee for the Young Lawyers Section of the Cincinnati Bar Association, Social Chair of ProKids Young Professionals, and as co-chair of the annual Run for Kids, sponsored by the Cincinnati Bar Association, for the benefit of ProKids.
Ms. De Villiers was honored as a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star in 2009, 2011, and 2015-2020. She was also inducted into Class XV of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers in 2011.
